I’m Tom Veitch. I have spent the last 12 years working on environmental projects, most of them with a community focus. I’m keen to empower groups and individuals to make a difference on things that matter to them, concerning their local environment as the impact that we all have on the world around us.
My career started with 7 years in the water industry, doing community environmental projects in my spare time. Since then I have worked with the following organisations:
Global Action Plan, delivering environmental behaviour change projects with community, corporate and third-sector organisations.
The Scarman Trust (formed after the influential Scarman Report) supporting community groups with capacity building and social enterprise.
OperationEDEN (now Faiths4Change) helping over 60 faith communities on Merseyside to deliver their own small-scale environmental projects.
Please get in touch if you would like to contribute to my occasional blog exploring what the environment means to different people.
